3 acoustic violins
|
Each violin is equipped with a Baggs bridge and Mills microphone.
This setup produces a strong, clean, warm, reliable acoustic sound.
Why three violins? One stays in standard violin tuning. The other
two are for open tunings.

|
3 five-string electric violins
|
One stays in standard tuning. A second is for alternate tunings.
Both these violins produce the full range of both a violin and a
viola.
The third is strung with "octave" strings for cello range.
A range of sound can be produced on these instruments from very
natural to highly effected.

Amplification for live performance
|
Both the electric and acoustic violins run through Pendulum preamps
which produce a strong, clean sound suitable for both large and
small venues.
For modest indoor venues she can use an ATM-35 microphone on the
acoustic violins.

Processing Gear
|
Judy uses Lexicon processing for her basic sound. She also has
a fun selection of pedals including phasers, octave, delay, and
distortion.
